Recommended Resources for the CompTIA A+

I like most of Mike Meyers’ books as they are well written, informative, and align well to their respective exams.  This A+ book from him is comprehensive, and therefore a good resource to get the material that you’ll need for the exam.

Authors Parker and Doctor are no strangers to writing CompTIA textbooks, and this book of practice exams will help you prepare for the A+ exam, which is why I like it

I usually don’t recommend three different books, but for the two exams of the A+, more is better. This exam cram book cuts out all of the BS, and gets right down to what you need to know.

The course contents of this certification are so diverse that nearly anyone working in the cybersecurity sector will benefit immensely from acquiring this certification, but more recently, these are the jobs that require this certification the most:
  • Systems Administrator
  • Network Administrator
  • Security Administrator
  • Junior IT Auditor/ Penetration Tester
  • Security Specialist
  • Security Consultant
  • Security Engineer
